Happy 4th!

Happy birthday to our country! We had a fun 4th, with some family in town. JT's brother and wife, Dave and Bayly, came for a visit/help us work on our house trip. We were so happy to have them here. John and Erin absolutely love Uncle Dave and Aunt Bayly, and Uncle Dave helped work on the never ending house project that we have going. Thanks Dave! We started out the morning with a good old 4th of July breakfast at our church with a bike parade. Bayly and I started decorating John's bike late on the night of the 3rd, but the decorating project was quickly taken over by JT and Dave, when they decided it would be a good idea to rig John's bike with fireworks. John thought it was pretty cool, and we had a really good time!
Bayly and I and the kids went to the local surf and swim while the boys were working. We had a good time and we found a pretty sweet spot to watch fireworks that evening. There is a hilltop park just down the street from us that overlooks White Rock Lake and the city. We sprawled out on blankets and saw 3 different firework shows from the park. It was a good 4th and a really great weekend! We miss you already Dave and Bayly! Thanks for visiting us in Texas!
